
Make a note in your diary for April 9th. You’re very welcome to attend a fascinating lecture on intelligent robots of the future. Dr Mattias Wahde will be talking about how to provide autonomic, free-moving robots with artificial intelligence based on biologically inspired methods. He will also be describing a cooperation project between Chalmers and ITRI in Taiwan. Following the lecture we will be providing something to eat and drink and also giving you the opportunity to mingle with colleagues from industry and to meet Xdin's representatives.

About the lecturer
Dr. Mattias Wahde gave his doctor’s thesis on mechanics at Chalmers University of Technology in 1997. Following this he had a post-doctorate position at Nordit, the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics in Copenhagen from 1997 to 1999, after which he returned to Chalmers where he is now an associate professor. Mattias Wahde heads the research group for Adaptive Systems at the Institution for Applied Mechanics, where his main research covers decision-making functions in autonomic robots. He also teaches courses concerning biologically-inspired calculation methods and their applications within the fields of robotics for the Masters’ program for Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers.
