It has gotten to be some time since I wrote you news from Nepal last. I might do so now enjoy:

Most preparations of soil, i.e. retaining wall and excavation, are concluded and the construction of the first houses has been initiated. Last week we had a celebration and a ceremony to assure the quality of our buildings, this was carried out according to Hindu traditions. As the project has encountered some set-backs it’s nice to introduce some festive happenings to our work as well.

In the weeks to come I will continue to supervise the work carried out at the site, along with that I will work on the design for some furniture and interior works. In less than 2 weeks an election will be held in Nepal. This, off-course, will greatly impact the country and consequently the project. Needless to say I have a couple of interesting weeks ahead of me.

During what free time I’ve had tried to see some of what surrounds Kathmandu. Sometimes me and some friends have gone by motorcycle up in the mountains for a little getaway, imagine riding along with a mind-blowing landscape wearing a pair of fake Ray-Bans, well it’s something else!

I guess that concludes what can be said about the events in the last couple of weeks.

Cheers folks!
