Annelie Pompe loves challenges. Her project “Deep Everest 2001” consisted of beating two world records; partly to be the first Swedish woman to climb Mount Everest without oxygen, and then to set a new World Record in free-diving to 161 meters – in one breath.

Annelie travelled to Mount Everest in March 2011. We have been able to follow Annelie’s exciting adventure at xdin.com as well as on her own blog, and on the 19th May she stood on the top of the world! The goal was to reach the top without the aid of oxygen but Annelie was forced to do so during the tough upward climb. Here at Xdin we are still just as proud of her, and proud to be her Adventure Partner.

On the 5th October 2010 Annelie beat the world record in free-diving in a single depth down to 126 meters below surface level. The record was beaten in the Egyptian Red Sea and the discipline is called Variable Weights in which the individual dives with the aid of weights and then swims upwards by themself. The dive took all of 3.16 minutes, of which 1.20 were the descent.
