Ergonomics Engineer


Cab Engineering department is looking for support on scope requirements with regard to Ergonomics and HMI maintenance. XDIN will support the work load with regard to Ergonomics and HMI areas. The focus of this project will be providing flexible deliveries and maintenance to include studies, assessments of models/bucks/vehicles, documenting the requirements for this project, and solving complex Ergonomics and HMI related concerns. The work will be done in collaboration and awareness by the Feature Leaders. The work will collaborate with both XDIN Technical Unit Managers as well as onsite customer meetings.


With Regard to Deliverables:

The deliverables will be as follows;

-Perform ergonomic assessments on truck CAD models and physical properties to ensure compliance with specified guidance and regulations

-Provide ergonomics support at component level and program review meetings

-Create small ergonomics and/or usability studies using internal drivers/personnel

-Write ergonomics and human factors assessment reports on findings

-Coordinate and communicate with component and system level engineers to resolve ergonomic and human factors related issues

-Utilize Enovia and CATIA software to assess heavy duty truck ergonomics


Competence Needed:

The competence this project will require is someone skilled in CATIA V5/Enovia as well as Delmia Human Builder.
