Digital Portfolio and Release Manager

Tasks

• Maintains the SAFe Release Train processes and templates, including incorporation of lessons learned from previous releases 
• Oversees the end-to-end management of a release process (project identification, tracking, testing status, and release readiness) 
• Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality 
• Measures and monitors progress to ensure application releases complete on time, with no unexpected impact to the business 
• Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions 
• Informs senior management of exposure to release risk and effectively mitigates it 
• Establishes and documents annual release schedule and incorporates freezes and other factors into the schedule 
• Collaborates effectively and consistently with leadership, key stakeholders, cross functional teams, and core team to enlist project support and facilitate completion of work 
• Conducts Release Readiness reviews and coordinates Go/No-Go reviews 
• Leads and coordinates Go-Live activities including the oversight and readiness of the implementation plans and checklists 
• Manages the software vendor budgets and ensures timely invoicing from our vendors 
• May facilitate team meetings (Scrum of Scrums, Release Planning, etc.) 

Requirements

Required Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed teams 
• 3+ years working in an Agile/Scrum/SAFe environment 
• 5+ years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability software products 


Preferred Qualifications 
• Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner 
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams while leveraging agile methodologies, with strong focus on continuous improvement and developing self-organizing teams 
• Proficiency in Rally, Aha, Confluence or similar agile life cycle management tools 
• Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups 
• Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills 
• Renewable Energy experience
